The school day for pupils runs as follows:

• School starts at 8.50am and finishes at 3.20pm every day (32.5hrs per week).
• KS1 and KS2 have a 15 min morning break.
• The whole school breaks for lunch from 12noon - 1pm

Including our extended day offer, the school is open from 7.45am - 5.30pm each weekday, during term time (48.75hrs pw). The school office is open from 8am - 4.30pm each weekday during term time.

Morning Drop off 

We operate a walking bus from the village hall car park each morning at 8.35am.  Children can be dropped at the village hall car park from 8.30am, when staff will be on duty.  Staff will only be on duty from 8.30am. Children arriving before this time are the responsibility of their parents. 

We ask parents arriving by car to follow the unofficial one-way system, entering the village hall car park by car from the top of the village via Elm Close, and then exiting from the bottom of the car park onto Rock Hill Road.  Please travel at no more than 5mph in the car park, as children are likely to be crossing, moving between parked cars and from the playground. 

Children can be dropped at the school gates from 8.40am and the school gate will be closed at 8.50am. Children who arrive at school after 8.50am must be accompanied by their parent/carer, and must enter the school via the school reception.  Parents will need to sign their child in, giving a reason as to why they are late arriving. 

Please send your child to school on time.  All children are registered in the morning and afternoon.  Please make sure your child arrives at school on time, otherwise a late mark will be recorded.  It is very important that good habits are formed early.  Being punctual is very important and helps the day get off to a good start.

End of the School Day  

School ends at 3.20pm.  Parents are asked to queue in the school car park. The gate will be opened when all the classes are on the school playground.  It is very important that your child is collected on time and that they know their going home arrangements before coming to school.  If you are going to be late on occasion, please call the school office so that we can let your child know why you are late.  

If your child is going to be collected by someone else, please either let their teacher know in the morning or call the school by 2.30pm so that we can let your child’s teacher know. If you have someone who will be collecting your child on a regular basis, please let the school office know so that we can make a note of these arrangements.
